Good news: Late penalty charges cut to £12

Yes, since April 2006 the penalty fees for late or missed payments as well as exceeding your credit limit have been lowered from around £25 to £12.

Any provider that charges more than £12 can be subject to an investigation by the Office of Fair Trading.
